Types
of Membership 2010 -2011
All members will be classified as Voting Members during the
fiscal year in which they join Assistance League of 'Tucson.
Members may become a Service Associate (Nonvoting Member) if
they are a student, a parent or guardian of children under 13
years of age, an in-home caregiver, hold a part-time job or are
a resident of the greater Tucson area less than 6 months a
year.
As a
Voting Member
Voting membership is a
privilege and a responsibility. Each year members
contribute by completing the following activities.

Attend
4 regular monthly
meetings.
-
Serve on one committee.
-
Work a minimum of 50
hours on the Assistance League of Tucson Thrift Shop retail sales
floor and/or in Operation School Bell dressing children and/or
packing kits in Starting Over Supplies.

Participate in biennial
roundtable sessions.
-
Pay annual dues of $60.
As a Nonvoting Member
Each year Service
Associates participate in and support the philanthropic programs and
fundraising activities of the chapter by completing the following
activities.

Serve on one committee.
-
Work a minimum of 50
hours annually in the area of your choice.

You may attend regular
chapter meetings but cannot vote or hold office.

Pay annual dues of $60.
When you become a member, you are
required to attend orientation
Under the
guidance of the Orientation Chairman who is a chapter member, you will:
-
Attend orientation
classes to learn about Assistance League of Tucson, National
Assistance League and other chapters across the nation.

Be invited to attend
monthly regular chapter meetings.
-
Participate in training
at the Assistance League of Tucson Thrift Shop, and in our philanthropic
programs.

Serve on one committee.
-
Participate in other
activities if you choose.
