Types
of Membership
Active - Voting Member
Service
Associate - Nonvoting Member
As a
Voting Member
Voting membership is a
privilege and a responsibility. Each year active members
contribute by completing the following activities.

Attend
5 regular monthly
meetings.
-
Serve on one committee (e.g.,
Administration and Support Committee, Pubic Relations Committee, Finance
Committee).
-
Work a minimum of 10 half-day shifts
in the Assistance League of Tucson Thrift Shop.
-
Work two hands-on shifts in the
philanthropic
programs (e.g., Operation School Bell, Starting Over Supplies). Two shifts must be in Operation School Bell..
-
Purchase Tux ‘n Boots
tickets – one ticket if single, two tickets if married.
-
Pay annual dues of $60.
As a Nonvoting Member
Each year service
associates participate in and support the philanthropic projects and
fundraising activities of the chapter by completing the following
activities.

Work a minimum of 48
hours annually in the area of your choice.
-
You may attend regular
chapter meetings but cannot vote.
-
Pay annual dues of $60.
When you become a member, you are
required to attend orientation
Under the
guidance of the Orientation Chairman who is a chapter member, you will:
-
Attend orientation
classes to learn about Assistance League of Tucson, National
Assistance League and other chapters across the nation.
-
Be invited to attend
monthly regular chapter meetings.
-
Participate in training
at the Assistance League of Tucson Thrift Shop, and in our philanthropic
programs.
-
Serve on one committee.
-
Participate in other
activities if you choose.
