 Golf Tournament Fundraiser September 2010

Last year, the Golf Tournament raised $10,000 to benefit our program Operation School Bell.

100% of your contribution stays in Tucson to help our community.  Assistance League of Tucson is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.

 

 

 

Ring the Bell - This is a donation request mailer circulated in the spring.  The mailer, in a school design format, invites addressees to contribute to our Operation School Bell® program.  The funds generated provide new school clothing to disadvantaged children in the Tucson community.  The mailer itemizes how  $70 will outfit one child, $48 will provide 12 backpacks or 12 school supply kits, $96 will provide 12 children with properly fitting shoes, $145 will provide jackets to keep 12 children warm, and $490 will dress 7 children. 

 

 

 

Patron Drive - This is a donation request letter sent out in the fall written by our President explaining who we are and our goals for the year.  Enclosed with the letter is a return envelope with different levels of giving.

 

 

 

Tax Credit for the Working Poor - This is a donation request sent out at the end of the year either as a separate letter or as part of our Fall Community Newslink to remind our donors that up to $400 of their donations made to Assistance League of Tucson can be tax deductable.  To view the details and make a contribution, print out the Tax Credit Letter.

 

 

 

Donate through United Way - Do you give to United Way at work?  You can designate Assistance League of Tucson to receive your United Way donation. 

 

 

Tux 'n Boots® Gala - This event has been our traditional major fundraising event.  It is a holiday black tie dinner dance held on the first Saturday in December.  The evening includes a silent auction, recognition of  Assisteens seniors, a gourmet meal and dancing to live music.  For pictures from the 2009 gala, please click on Tux 'n Boots on the menu at the left of this page.

 

 

 

 

Community Newslink - A newsletter is sent out to the Tucson Community twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, with a letter from our President and recognition of our sponsors and donors.  A donation envelope is included.

 

 

 

Assisteens® Fashion Show - This event is held in the spring.  The proceeds from this event help fund Project Wishlist and worthy charities in the Tucson area selected by Assisteens.

 

 

 

PAWS Share a Bear This is a campaign to raise money to supply Teddy bears to children in crisis through responding agencies.  A letter is sent out in the spring written by the P.A.W.S. Chairman.  Enclosed with the letter is a return envelope specifying different levels of giving such A Box of Bears.

 

 

 

 

PAWS Teddy Bear Tea - P.A.W.S. (Professional Association of Women's Services) fundraiser held at the Chantilly Tea Room in October.

 

 

 

 

Thrift Shop - Our main fundraiser is the chapter-owned, member-operated thrift shop.  To learn more about our activities, please click on Thrift Shop on the menu at the top of this page.
