Assistance League of Tucson, a chapter of Assistance League®, is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian volunteer service organization and is qualified under IRS Code 501 (c)(3) and Arizona Tax Credit Law ARS 43-1088.  In addition to receiving a tax deduction on your Federal tax return for your donations, you may also qualify for a deduction on your Arizona State tax return under the Working Poor Tax Credit.

The Working Poor Tax Credit provides additional tax benefits.  Under the provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes Section 43-1088, an individual can make a contribution of up to $200 and a couple can make a contribution of up to $400 to Assistance League of Tucson and receive a tax credit for the amount of the donation on the Arizona return and a Federal itemized deduction for the amount of the donation.  Please consult your tax advisor to learn more about how this tax credit applies to your donation.

Our reviewed financial statements for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2011 show our financial status as well as detailing how much is spent on our philanthropic programs and how much we receive in donations and earnings from Assistance League Thrift Shop to support our programs.  The IRS Form 990 shows our tax exempt return for the same period.
